2º Maitre/Sommellier
POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for each aspect related to beverages of the hotel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Organize and ensure the perfect beverage service to the client and makes recommendations to guests and to all outlets (Bar, Restaurants, ...etc.)
Thorough control of the beverage stock in the restaurants as well as in the wine cellars and purchasing department.
Analyse selling prices and associated costs.
Perform monthly inventories of all outlets
Substitute to the Maître in all his duties when he/she is out of the Hotel (holidays, absences, …), in this case this role involves the complete supervision of Restaurant operations.
This position will be required to conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.
Be attentive in checking quality of food and beverage service.
Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety rules, and related “Brand Name” and Company Policies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Enology studies are required
German and English are mandatory, Spanish is a plus
Knowledge in MICROS, word and excel
2 - 3 years experience in similar position
