Our fast growing and successful family-run restaurant in south west France is looking for a new chef de partie to support the head chef and drive our business forward from mid May 2017.

The role.
We are looking for a passionate chef, someone who can bring experience, enthusiasm and creativity into the kitchen each day to help produce outstanding, well presented dishes with bold, fresh flavours. The Lot region is renowned for its gastronomy, including foie gras, duck and truffles and many local markets have an array of wonderful ingredients. You will help the head chef produce inventive daily as well as seasonal specials using local ingredients as well as those from our kitchen garden.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to embrace a new experience in a beautiful location. Help will be given to settle the successful applicant into the local area. Some knowledge of French and English is useful but not essential. Applicants must have their own transport.

The business.
Set up in May 2011, the restaurant offers fresh, creative food which stands out strongly in the local area. Situated in a beautiful 300 year old winery in the heart of the Cahors vineyards, we have a varied customer base including many tourists in the key summer period, local French and local English. In 2016 we opened a new modern and spacious kitchen as well as a new inside dining room to serve 60 covers. There is outdoor seating under a covered barn and in the courtyard for a further 80 covers.

As well as the restaurant there is also a luxury 2 bedroom gite and a pottery painting café.
