As an independent Chef de Partie:
You support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in all preparations and activities in the kitchen.
You prepare and cook dishes following the recipes and planning.
You support the ordering process and make sure that stocks are maintained in an efficient way.
You take responsibility for the full execution of your partie form ordering to prepping to service.
You provide a satisfying food and beverage experience to every single Element hotels guest in a friendly, energetic and timely manner.
You feel responsible for assuring the guest is having a great time and/or relaxing while in the area.
You are passionate about Hospitality and everything that comes with it.
You are always aware of the trends in the market and have knowledge of Spanish cuisine as well.
You take full responsibility to come with a solution for every possible situation because ownership and adapting are in your DNA.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Preparing high quality culinary dishes with fresh ingredients.
Planning and execution of the preparations in a timely manner
Presenting every single dish in style
Monitoring the quality of the dishes by checking the freshness of raw materials, defects etc.
Cleanliness of the environment, equipment and materials
Working in a hygienic manner in accordance with HACCP regulations.
A safe work environment and a safe task execution.
Reporting of every single technical failure so ensure a smooth operation
Preparing the orders and getting them from the stores. All orders must be approved by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Ensure proper storage and processing of various products.
Support apprentices and trainees where needed.
Work 100% compliant with the Standard Operating Procedures of the Element Hotel Amsterdam.
Participating in the multi-skilling program.
Attending training if desired.
Performing any other tasks which may be reasonably expected of you in our hotel.
