FULL TIME PERMANENT or SEASONAL CHEF
We have a job vacancy for an experienced Sous Chef to join our existing kitchen team at The Storehouse Restaurant with Rooms in Kirkwall, Orkney.
You would be working under our Head Chef Colin Craig who previously ran The Albannach Hotel in Lochinver , Scotland which was awarded the most Northerly Michelin star in Scotland and who has now moved to Orkney to work with us at The Storehouse to help us build our reputation for great local food using the best fresh ingredients .
You must have a passion for using local produce and put taste at the top of your requirements of cooking great food and also you must have previous experience in a similar catering environment that has used fresh produce such as we do.
Storehouse Kitchen Team
Consists of Head Chef, Sous Chef, Two Chefs, Two KP.
Covers during Summer season
Breakfast up to 16. Lunch up to 5 days a week 15 - 25. Evenings 25 - 50. Some functions.
Covers during Winter season
Breakfast up to 16. Lunch 2-3 days a week 15 - 25. Evenings 20 - 50. Some functions.
Rooms
Eight Double/Twin 16 residents
Hours
You will be required to work 50hrs plus a week in the busy Summer season and 35 hrs per week rest of year
Holidays 28 days pro rata
Wage rate is 23k per annum or an agreed hourly rate of £13 an hour if seasonal You will receive a share of the tips which are excellent along with the rest of The Storehouse Team

Shared spacious 2 bedroomed flat in central Kirkwall within a short walk from the restaurant. £60 a week plus share of bills.
