As the HEAD CHEF, you will be running the kitchen to a high standard across all operations. As a natural "hands-on" leader with previous experience as a Head Chef in a restaurant environment, you will have the autonomy of leading your team to success. We are looking for a talented Chef who also has strong cost control, menu development, communication and above all mentoring skills.
To be considered for this role, candidates must
• Have previous work experience in high volume restaurant/pub environment
• Have previous experience as an Head Chef in charge of 2 kitchens
• Good command of English
• Experience overseas (recommended)
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, management and organizational skills
• Be creative and have a passion for food and the hospitality industry
• Have a proven track record of cost control, including food, equipment, labour and waste

Skills
• Hands on/lead by example approach to service
• Stock control & ordering
• Working within a budget
• Menu Innovation – keeping in touch with current Melbourne food trends and implementing them into seasonal menus
• Managing/Rostering/Working closely with a small kitchen team
• Keeping a clean work environment and adhering to food safety standards
• Keep up communication lines with front of house to ensure a high standard of service & customer satisfaction
