We’re hiring for Mission Masala Antwerp & Gent, Belgium!
Mission Masala brings authentic Indian flavors with a modern twist. Not your typical Indian! The Mission experience takes you to the streets of India, with a splash of colour & chaos, giving you a glimpse of the warm hustle & bustle that inspired our journey. We believe in Indian hospitality and good vibes. What began as a single food truck back in 2015 has now grown into restaurants, Curry Club take away & delivery, catering, and still going strong on the festival terrains. Our aim is to provide an environment as enjoyable for our teams as it is for our guests, by consistently delivering Indian-inspired market food and great service in a lively, vibrant atmosphere. Our aim is to keep reinventing vibrant sharing experiences & leave you hungry for more.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy atmosphere, can handle the pressure of a busy kitchen, and has stamina and attention to detail.
Are you an experienced cook that can stand the heat?
Knowledge of Indian cuisine is not a must...we’ve got your back on this.
Tasks
Overseeing and guiding food preparation & daily MEP.
Approving & garnishing dishes before they reach the customer.
Provide guidelines and instruct the rest of the team.
Determining food inventory needs, stocking & ordering.
Put effort into optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
Operate a smooth and efficient service and handovers to the next shift.
Knowledge and capacity to operate all sections – eg BBQ, pass, fry section.
Manage, support & motivate your team.
QUALITY
Collaborate with the rest of the (culinary) team to ensure high-quality food and service.
Store foods according to HACCP standards.
Maintain a clean workspace and kitchen tools
Follow health and hygiene regulations
Profile
STANDARD EXPECTATIONS
Must be a true passionate foodie
Good level of English both spoken & written
Must be strong in communication
Team player & trouble-shooter
Responsible, Social & humorous
Knowledge of HACCP
Able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen is required.

A full-time job, including evening and weekend work.
38h/w in fall & winter ; 45-50h/w in summer
A net salary between €2200 and €2400 / month
