Right in the center of the city of Groningen, in the shadow of the Martinitoren, you will find boutique Hotel Prinsenhof Groningen with 34 hotel rooms and 2 high-quality restaurant concepts; Grand Café and fine dining Restaurant Nassau. In addition, the hotel has 4 rooms for private meetings.
Hotel Prinsenhof is located in monumental buildings where the Martinikerkhof and the Prinsentuin are an essential part of the experience. You can experience history with contemporary comfort, both from the outside and in the rooms of the hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet and serene place in the middle of a bustling city. Characteristic of Hotel Prinsenhof is the high-quality standard (four star plus) and the sincere hospitality. The guest is central, but that is not enough: every day we strive to exceed the high expectations of our guests.
To strengthen our young and enthusiastic kitchen brigade, led by chef Christian de Vries and sous chef Dion ter Velde, we are immediately looking for a creative, enthusiastic and skilled independently working cook.

Duties and Responsibilities
preparing dishes/dish parts according to recipe and own planning
planning day-to-day operations and ordering food and other stock replenishments
receiving, checking and storing ordered foodstuffs and other items. monitoring shelf life and hygiene
mise & place work
monitor shelf life and hygiene according to HACCP
As an independently working cook you work daily in the kitchen of hotel Prinsenhof Groningen (grand cafe and restaurant Nassau and banqueting) and you perform all common activities in collaboration with the chef and/or sous chef. We expect the following qualities and experiences from you
Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and products
You are used to working with only artisanal and fresh products

Professional and service-oriented attitude with an eye for quality
Salary: € 13.00- 15 € gross, per hour of work
Working hours: Fulltime
Workweek: Every week different schedule.

Accommodation cost: around 500€ per month

Travel cost: Boat ticket will be paid by the company.
