JobAdventure, the Barcelona-based recruitment organisation, has joined forces with two of the large temporary employment agencies in the Netherlands to bring job opportunities to adventurous EU citizens who would like to work in northern Europe.
Would you like a new experience working on one of the 5 most beautiful islands in the Netherlands (Schiermonnikoog, Ameland, Terschelling, Vlieland and Texel)? Or if you are more cosmopolitan, perhaps you’d prefer other cities near Amsterdam, or maybe Rotterdam, Arnhem, Utrecht…?
Would you like to be part of a professional and close team, where you can develop your qualities as an independent chef or cook?
We collaborate with a large network of hotels, restaurants and establishments in the Netherlands that are looking for experienced people to take charge of their kitchens.
In addition to your new job, you will have the opportunity to practice English, increase your savings and, above all, gain useful international experience for your CV. And don’t forget, your’ll also get to spend your free time meeting new people, exploring another culture, touring the islands or getting to know new cities.
The ideal person should have solid experience and know what is required of an independent cook or chef within a kitchen. He or she will be responsible for the kitchen, preparing and supervising lunches and dinners, will have to monitor the stock of products and will constantly have to make sure their dishes are of the highest quality.
Also, the ideal person must know how to explain the composition of a dish if requested by the diner and know how to respond to any possible complaints, in English. In the kitchen, optimal hygiene in accordance with HACCP standards should be guaranteed at all times.

What else? The ideal candidate should:

Have a passion for gastronomy.
Know the latest culinary techniques.
Be creative, proactive and agilely be able to solve any incidents that occur.
Be self-reliant and responsible.
Have at least an Upper intermediate (B2 or above) level of English

Se ofrece

What do you get?

Accommodation organised by the hotel, restaurant or establishment at a low cost: a subsidised single, usually private room, in shared housing.
Subsidised food: minimum one main meal included in your working hours.
Contract through Dutch collective agreement.
Subsidised Health Insurance: this legal requirement will be organised for you by our partners at the reduced rate of ‚ā¨25.85 per week.
Help and assistance in Spanish throughout the process: communication, interviews and information.
Management of your BSN number once in the Netherlands.
