Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, Mallorca is located on a cliff and surrounded by pine forests looking over the fishing town of Port Soller. Its 121 spacious guestrooms and suites, all with private terrace or French balcony, enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea or views of the port and the impressive Tramuntana mountain range, a UNESCO Heritage site. The hotel offers three restaurants, three bars, two swimming pools and our Talise Spa. About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Chef de Partie position to join our Culinary Department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
• To prepare food items as assigned and in accordance with recipes and complying with Company and Hotel policies, procedures and standards to meet customers’ satisfaction.
• To organise and set up the assigned section of the kitchen and prepare dishes as efficiently as possible to increase speed and maximise productivity.
• To ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and according to standard recipes.
• To prepare list of product/food items required for the next day and submit to the Chef in charge.
• To prepare list of tasks for mise en place for the chef on the following shift before going off duty.
• To constantly maximise the quality and presentation of dishes
• To work in any section of the kitchen when necessary or as requested by your superiors.
• To collect and check store orders to ensure they are of the quality and quantity required and report any discrepancy.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Qualifications
• Advance Food and Hygiene Training
• Culinary Skill Courses Experience
Experience
• Experience in Kitchen in similar level
• Previous 5*hotel experience
Skills
• Excellent level of English
• Friendly, approachable and professional
• Demonstrates excellent supervisory and leadership skill
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Works well under pressure
• Demonstrates flexibility in working according to the needs of the business
• Excellent customer care skills
